Nightingale? At a time when I was living in the country side, around that same hour, I kept hearing a bird singing. Then I remembered hearing about nightingales singing at night. I had a record with recordings of various birds, and I played the nightingale - the 'real' one answered, and it was the same tune.

Hi there!

Challenging stuff, right? I was pretty startled when I finally got over my inertia and sat down to write a post and belatedly remembered they're usually kind of about something and oftentimes something like a shared interest or funny anecdote and I had bupkis. I thrill at cocktail parties.

Oh, how lovely! I think one would have to be pretty lost to wind up outside my window in California, but that's only appropriate for an animated sidekick. Kooky misplaced nightingale buddy, theme song included.
